These are the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the Diginomad app. Please read them so you know how the service works and how we handle your data.
1. Terms of Service
1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Diginomad app, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1.2 What Diginomad Is
Diginomad helps digital nomads discover destinations, track their travels, and connect with other nomads through profiles, follows, messaging, reviews, and shared plans.
1.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Diginomad. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
1.4 Your Account
You sign in with your Google or Apple account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.
1.5 Your Content
You own the content you add — your profile, travel entries, reviews, messages, polls, and events. You grant us a licence to store and display that content within the app so the service can work. Your privacy settings control who sees your travels and stats; private accounts share them only with approved followers.
1.6 Community Rules
Do not harass, impersonate, or threaten others; do not post unlawful, misleading, or spammy content; do not abuse community features such as reviews, message requests, or support forms; and do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data. You can block or report users — we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
1.7 Travel Information Disclaimer
Visa requirements, living costs, internet speeds, safety levels, and climate data shown in the app are informational estimates gathered from various sources and can be outdated or incomplete. Always verify travel requirements with official government sources before making travel decisions. Diginomad is not responsible for decisions made based on this information.
1.8 Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms or harms other users. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
1.9 Changes
We may update the app and these Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
1.10 Disclaimer and Liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diginomad is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
2. Privacy Policy
2.1 Information You Provide
When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. You may add a username, intro, birth date, and gender; your home location; travel entries and residences; city reviews; messages, shared polls, events, and cards; and help requests you send to support.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Basic device information (device type and operating system), app version, language, and connection state, used to run and improve the app. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
2.3 How We Use Your Information
To provide app features — your travel timeline and map, destination recommendations, nomads nearby, your feed, the visa checker, and real-time messaging; to respond to your support requests; to keep the community safe; and to maintain and improve the service.
2.4 What Other Users See
Your name, username, and photo are visible to other users. Your trips, stats, and timeline are shown according to your privacy settings; private accounts limit them to approved followers. Reviews appear with your name. Messages are visible only to conversation participants.
2.5 Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that run the app for us — cloud hosting and email delivery (Amazon Web Services), map services (Mapbox, which receives map interactions to render maps), and real-time message delivery — under agreements that protect your data, or where required by law.
2.6 Storage and Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure storage. Some content is cached on your device so the app works offline; this cache is cleared when you sign out.
2.7 Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account from Settings removes your profile and content from the service, with residual copies purged from backups within a reasonable period.
2.8 Your Rights
You can view and update your profile and privacy settings in the app, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or export your data — contact us to exercise them.
2.9 Children's Privacy
Diginomad is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
2.10 Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes here and update the date above.
